This weekend we were able to kind of get away. We all (Kyler, Lucy, Josh and I) hopped into the car and went to the western slope of Colorado. We were headed to visit Josh's parents as well as attend his 10 year high school reunion. It was Kyler's first adventure in the car for an extended amount of time and I was a little worried about the drastic change in elevation, but he did wonderfully. After 6 hours in the car, we got there around midnight on Friday night/Saturday morning. The reunion was on Saturday. It was nice to catch up with some of the people that Josh went to high school with and even meet some new faces. Other than the weather (it was cold and rainy), we had a great time. Then on Sunday, we headed over to meet up with some friends that live in Montrose. Lindsay and Ryan graciously fed us lunch and played with Kyler. In our down time, we just hung out on the farm with Mom, Dad and Jake, Josh's brother.

Lucy loves it there too! She plays so much that she tires herself out. When it was time to leave she sat on the couch as if to say, "No I will not!" Just like the defiant teenager that she is.

It was nice to get away and leave all my worries here in Greeley - we need to do that more often! Unfortunately it is now back to reality.
