Playing Doctor

Even before our week of doctor visits (I think there were at least six that week), Kyler has shown a real interest in playing "doctor". He would pretend to put the stethoscope into his ears, band-aids on "owies", and check our ears, eyes, and bellies. One afternoon, he found an extra ace-bandage lying around the house and asked, "play doctor?" I humored him and played doctor. We tried that ace-bandage on every part of his little body that it would fit around--his arm, head, and eventually he wanted to be like daddy and have it on his leg! Then he tried hopping around the house with a "hurt" leg, but it didn't work out so well since he has not quite developed the balance to do so. So then he said, "Be right back!" He came back with some "crutches" (aka golf clubs)! Kyler's sense of imagination is really taking off! It is so fun to see what connections he makes and the train of thought that his little brain goes through!
